Testimonials & Endorsements
Real Voices. Real Schools. Lasting Impact.
Project Touchline has been shaped by the voices of headteachers, clergy, diocesan leaders, pupils and school communities who have seen the programme bring faith, values and sport together in practical and lasting ways.
Since 2018, schools across England and Wales have described impact in confidence, character, worship, prayer, relationships, Christian distinctiveness and whole-school culture.
Diocesan Endorsement
“It is rare to find something truly pioneering, innovative, and transformational. Project Touchline is such a programme—unlike anything you’ve seen before. It is life-affirming for the whole school community, enabling children to live out Christian values through sport and PE while connecting with faith through Collective Worship and prayer.”
— Neil Revell
Lead School Improvement Adviser & Strategic Leader
Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education
“The major impact of Project Touchline is the culture within the schools, especially the way you deliver and model to the staff and children the sessions. This is having lasting impact in all the schools and I can see the techniques being used when I visit, impacting the spirituality within the schools. This has been reflected from the inspectors’ visits.
Prayer Clubs are amazing in the schools. It is a treat to visit and see them in action with children taking the lead, supported by teachers and local clergy. This is so positive and a real lasting impact on spiritual development.”
— John Meredith
Director of Education
Diocese of Swansea & Brecon
“Many pupils choose to attend this voluntary lunchtime prayer group which provides them with a quiet space to be still, reflect and pray. They appreciate the opportunity to pray about things that matter to their school community, as well as issues in their wider world. This valuable lunchtime provision supports the spiritual flourishing of all who attend.”

Episcopal Endorsement
“Project Touchline, when used alongside the work of the local church, is one of the best children’s work initiatives I have seen in recent years. Teachers and young people in all of our 13 church schools have experienced and appreciated the teaching of Christian values, using sport as the catalyst to building care and prayer into the daily life of school and the church community.”
— The Right Reverend John Lomas
Bishop of Swansea & Brecon
“We are a largely youthful diocese and the opportunity to partner with Project Touchline through sports ministry will strengthen our outreach and discipleship for children and the youth in a manner they can easily connect with. This partnership also demonstrates our connectedness as a global Anglican family, seeking to love and serve the Lord.”
— The Rt Revd Joseph Wandera
Bishop of Mumias
Anglican Church of Kenya

Prayer Club Impact
“The prayer club was incredibly popular and revealed a real desire for this amongst the children.”
— Hannah Legg
Assistant Headteacher
All Souls CE Primary School, Westminster
Prayer Clubs have become one of Project Touchline’s most significant legacies, beginning with sixteen children in Cornwall and growing into a rhythm now used across more than 100 Church schools.
A recent SIAMS inspection also noted that pupils chose to attend weekly Prayer Club at lunchtime to discuss events in their lives, receive support, contemplate and pray if they wished.
One of the most powerful things I took away from the visit was the idea of creating a special time for children to be still, to pray and to reflect. This inspired me to continue and develop our Prayer Club, giving it a new direction that reflects our pupils’ voices and spiritual growth. It has now become Peaceful Pathways — a space for calm, reflection and connection, led each week by our Year 5 children. It’s wonderful to see them take ownership of this, guiding others with confidence and care. A huge thank you to Chris and Project Touchline for inspiring us and guiding us on this journey — helping us see how faith, sport and values can come together to nurture the whole child.”

SIAMS & Character Development
