Collective Worship
When Project Touchline is in school, each day begins with Collective Worship — creating space to pause, reflect, listen and journey together as a community before the busyness of the day unfolds. In doing so, worship helps establish a calm, thoughtful and purposeful rhythm at the very start of the school day. Worship is rooted in the Christian faith. However, it also remains warmly invitational and deeply respectful of all faiths and backgrounds. As a result, every child is welcomed, valued and encouraged to engage in a way that feels meaningful, safe and comfortable for them.

Connecting Faith, Sport and Everyday Life
Importantly, each worship theme is rooted in the life and teaching of Jesus. Faith is made explicit, not assumed. Children are helped to see how Christian values emerge directly from the example of Christ. Additionally, they also see how these values can shape relationships, choices and community.
Project Touchline also creates natural links between worship, sport and the school’s Christian vision. In rugby and cricket, children learn to encourage teammates, communicate well, make space for others, persevere and show respect under pressure. As a result, values explored in worship begin to be lived out through teamwork, relationships and shared experiences.
Stillness, Reflection and Prayer
There is a simplicity at the heart of worship. A story. A question. A moment of silence. A candle lit in the boat. A prayer spoken together. These small rhythms often become deeply meaningful moments where children feel calm, safe, heard and inspired.

Over time, Collective Worship helps shape a culture where children begin to understand that faith is not simply something spoken about. Instead, it is something that can influence how people live, learn and care for one another each day.
