Everyone who leads Project Touchline programmes in schools holds an Enhanced DBS check and undertakes safeguarding requirements relevant to their ministry and leadership responsibilities.
Chris Andrew, Director of Project Touchline, is a Licensed Lay Minister/Reader within the Church of England. He works within the Church of England’s established safeguarding framework and follows the safeguarding policies and procedures of every school and church with which Project Touchline works.
Checks and training are maintained in accordance with relevant organisational and Church of England requirements.

National Safeguarding Leadership Training
Chris Andrew undertakes training through the Church of England’s National Safeguarding Team.
The Leadership Safeguarding Certificate demonstrates specialist training in protecting children and vulnerable adults, recognising and responding to concerns, promoting safer practice and building a culture in which safeguarding is taken seriously.

We work closely with every commissioning organisation so our programmes align with its safeguarding requirements. Whenever a concern arises, we follow the organisation’s procedures and reporting channels.
Through appropriate training, checks and professional practice, we create supportive environments in which children can participate with confidence. Their safety, wellbeing and protection remain our first priority.
