The five-week journey

Five weeks.
One rhythm that lasts.

A relational journey of worship, sport, prayer, creativity and long-term culture change.

Project Touchline creates a consistent weekly rhythm in which children and staff experience values together—not as separate activities, but as one connected journey through the life of the school.

Progression across five weeks

Familiar enough to trust.
Fresh enough to grow.

The programme can run as one full day each week for five consecutive weeks, or in a rhythm agreed with the school. Each visit builds familiarity, deepens confidence and gives children another opportunity to practise what matters.

01

Belong

Shared language, welcome and simple routines establish trust.

02

Notice

Children recognise values in worship, relationships and play.

03

Choose

Real situations invite courage, patience and responsibility.

04

Reflect

Prayer and conversation help children understand experience.

05

Carry forward

Staff and pupils make the rhythm part of everyday school life.

One joined-up day

Worship opens the theme.
Experience makes it real.

Each programme day begins with whole-school Collective Worship. The same value then travels through sport, reflection, prayer and classroom life, so children meet one coherent message in different forms.

01

Collective Worship

Biblical reflection, prayer, stillness and shared language establish the day’s focus.

02

Four practical sessions

Different classes explore the theme through rugby, cricket, movement, communication and reflective challenge.

03

Lunchtime Prayer Club

A calm, voluntary space allows children to pause, pray, ask questions and be still.

04

Staff observation and continuation

Teachers see practical approaches they can continue long after the session ends.

Four sessions across the day

Different classes.
One shared value.

Each session helps pupils practise the theme in a practical and memorable way, with challenge adapted to age, confidence and need.

01

Rugby

Movement, communication and courage through purposeful team challenges.

02

Cricket

Patience, concentration and responsibility through progressive activity.

03

Teamwork games

Belonging, listening and problem-solving in energetic shared experiences.

04

Reflective moments

Space to name what happened, why it mattered and what can change next.

Lunchtime Prayer Club

A calm space.
A voluntary invitation.

At the heart of each programme day is a reflective space where children can pause, pray, ask questions, sit in stillness or receive support from another child. These simple rhythms often continue inspiring pupils and staff long after the five weeks end.

Creative artwork & spiritual reflection

What children learn
becomes visible.

Through drawing, colour, paint and other media, pupils express the values they have experienced in worship, sport and everyday life. The resulting work gives the whole school a lasting visual language.

Artwork is displayed across the school—celebrating Christian distinctiveness, shared values and the community’s continuing story.
