St Lawrence C of E Primary School (Diocese of St Albans)
The children at St Lawrence, a school within the Diocese of St Albans, took part in a five week programme of faith, values and sport with Project Touchline. The project had a huge impact on the way children and staff engaged and lived out their distinctive Christian values. It was a deeply Christian experience. It celebrated their unique vision and values of their school through Sport and the wider curriculum. The children developed their understanding of their three core values: perseverance, courage and hope. They did this through collective worship, prayer club and PE lessons. The programme has left a legacy on their school. It will be with them on their Christian journey supported by the Diocese, which is integral to these activities.
“Weekly prayer club is well-attended. Pupils choose to attend…”

At St Lawrence it is essential that the children in their community understand there is always hope, despite setbacks and unfairness in life. At St Lawrence they have high hopes and aspirations for their future, their school and their community. They understand that faith gives them hope for both now and for the future, and that this hope brings confidence. Hope for them means that there is always a future whatever situation they are in, because God promised to never leave us, to always love us, and to help us in times of need.
