Christian Values in PE
Project Touchline is a transformative approach to physical education (PE) that integrates Christian values in sport like compassion, perseverance, and integrity into sports such as rugby and cricket. Unlike traditional PE, which focuses primarily on physical skills, Project Touchline emphasises character development alongside physical competence, thereby integrating values effectively. It fosters moral and social skills within sporting contexts, showing the role of Christian values in PE. Aligned with the National Curriculum’s PE objectives for Foundation and Key Stages 1 and 2, it promotes teamwork, resilience, and healthy competition.

Character building to support schools
This dual-purpose model provides a groundbreaking approach which redefines teaching physical education, integrating Christian values in sport. It is a holistic educational tool that uniquely blends physical training with character-building to support schools in meeting curriculum standards. Additionally, in this model, Christian values are reinforced along with ethos, highlighting the importance of Christian values in PE. Values-based education meets statutory Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural (SMSC) requirements through reflective activities. These include discussions on equality and equity. All of these are within the realm of physical education.
