“A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime.”
— Billy Graham
Chris was commissioned as an Archbishops’ Evangelist at Lambeth Palace on 23rd October 2019. This was following much prayer, sense of call, discernment, recognition and affirmation of the on-going work of an evangelist through Project Touchline nationally across seven dioceses in the Church of England.
What you are doing is hugely important for two reasons; your commissioning as evangelists yours is one of the key ministries that is listed in Ephesians, and because there are not enough labourers in the harvest field, and we are called to pray for labourers. What I hope and pray for you, and am grateful to you for, is that you not only do the work of an evangelist but you liberate other evangelists, lay and ordained.”

The College of Archbishops’ Evangelists exists to encourage, connect and develop the ministry of evangelists across the Church of England. The college believes that the gift of the evangelist comes from the Holy Spirit and is expressed through people of every race, church tradition, gender, social background and age. The college is excited about the incredible variety and talent, creativity and vision that already exists within the college and wants to see this multiplied and released through the connections that it enables. The college is not the only Anglican community committed to evangelism and they want to partner with other agencies and celebrate other ministries.
Jesus told them, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’ Luke 10:2
