Read the three scenes without interrupting the story. On the Meet Jesus page, read the observations together and ask the question; the observations are drawn from the passage, so invite children to check them. On the values page, ask: “Can you see any of our school values in this story?” and reveal the nine values when you are ready. Children should point to evidence in the passage. If something is not shown in the story, “I can’t find it” is a good answer. There is no required answer and no pledge.

The artwork and the Scripture are different things. The Key Scripture boxes hold short extracts; read the full passage aloud from your own Bible. Invite children to tell apart what Scripture says from what the artist has imagined.
